Booking an extra session as a parent

Booking an extra session as a parent

Nurseries using eymanage may turn on an option that allows parents to book sessions for children in certain rooms without needing approval. Sessions can only be booked if rooms have enough spaces, and they will always be considered Extra sessions, meaning they aren’t included in funding hours. As a parent, you can either do this through the parent web portal, or the eyparent app.

Booking a session through the eyparent app
  1. If you have multiple children enrolled at this nursery, you can switch between children through the  Menu on the home page.
  2. In the top right, tap   >   Bookings.
  3. Tap an empty space in the child’s schedule to request to book a session, or tap Book Session in the top right. Note that you cannot book overlapping sessions.
  4. Fill out details of the session in the pop-up window:
    1. Room: This will be predefined with your child's current room.
    2. Session Type: Choose the type of session you want to book, this may be automatically set as your preferred session type depending on the nursery's settings.
    3. Start/Finish Time: What times of day this session starts and ends. Usually determined by Session Type.
  5. Once details of the session have been filled out, a calendar will appear that shows which days are available to book. Use the arrows in the top left or right to cycle between months.
