Booking an extra session on the eyparent app

Nurseries using eymanage may turn on an option that allows parents to book sessions for children in certain rooms without needing approval. Sessions can only be booked if rooms have enough spaces, and they will always be considered Extra sessions, meaning they aren’t included in funding hours. As a parent, you can do this through the eyparent app.
  1. If you have multiple children enrolled at this nursery, you can switch between them by clicking on the child's name in the top left.
  2. Go to  >  Bookings.
  3. You'll see a list of booked sessions for the current week. Use the arrows in the top left to cycle between weeks.
  4. Tap book a session in the top right. Note that you cannot book overlapping sessions.
  5. Fill out details of the session in the pop-up window:
    1. Room: This will be predefined with your child's current room. 
    2. Session Type: Choose the type of session you want to book, this may be automatically set as your preferred session type depending on the nursery's settings.
    3. Start/Finish Date: How long you want the session to run for.
    4. Start/Finish Time: What times of day this session starts and ends. Usually determined by Session Type.
  6. Select the day you'd like to book from the calendar. You may choose multiple days. If there aren't enough spaces, or if you already have a session booked for that day, the date will be greyed out and you won't be able to select it.
  7. Tap Book
  8. You’ll receive an email confirming that the session has been requested. You will also be notified through email if the booking has been accepted or declined.
