Creating posts/polls


On eyengage, you can create posts and polls. Use posts to update employees and parents about what’s going on at the nursery, and polls to gather opinions or information from parents and employees.

Creating a post

  1. In the top right, click Create New > Post.
  2. Beside Audience in the top right, choose whether this post is for Parents, Employees, or All.
  3. Beside Sharing To in the top left, choose who you want to share the post to between Nursery, Room, and Tags, then use the field below Sharing To to select which ones. Your options will be populated using data from employee and child profiles.
  4. Under Select Category, sort this post into a category and sub-category.
  5. Type the content of the post into the What’s Happening? field. You can add web links by pasting the URL here. Use the  icon to add emojis. 
  6. Under the  Add Media field, click on the box to upload documents, pictures, or videos.
  7. Check the box next to Require Confirmation if you want readers to mark a post to confirm they’ve read it.
  8. Check the box next to Disable Comments and Likes if you want to remove the option for readers to leave comments and likes on this post. 
  9. Click Publish.

Creating a poll

  1. In the top right, click Create New > Poll.
  2. Beside Audience in the top right, choose whether this post is for Parents, Employees, or All.
  3. Beside Sharing To in the top left, choose who you want to share the post to between Nursery, Room, and Tags, then use the field below Sharing To to select which ones. Your options will be populated using data from employee and child profiles.
  4. Under Select Category, sort this post into a category and sub-category.
  5. Type the content of the post into the What’s Happening? field. You can add web links by pasting the URL here. Use the  icon to add emojis. 
  6. Below, type in the options for the poll into the relevant fields. Click + Add option to add a new field or  to remove a field. 
  7. Under the  Add Media field, click on the box to upload documents, pictures, or videos.
  8. Check the box next to Allow to choose multiple options if you want readers to be able to select more than one option on the poll. 
  9. Check the box next to Disable Comments and Likes if you want to remove the option for readers to leave comments and likes on this post. 
  10. Click Publish.
