Creating categories/sub-categories



Categories and subcategories are ways of organising your posts on eyengage. You can filter by category/sub-category using the left sidebar. 

Adding a category

  1. In the top right, under  Settings, click  Categories.
  2. In the pop-up, click + Add New Category at the bottom.
  3. Type in a name for the category in the blank space.
  4. Select whether this category is for only Parents, only Employees, or All.
  5. Click + Add New Sub-category under the category you just created.
  6. Type a name for the sub-category in the blank space.
  7. Click on the coloured square to select a colour for this sub-category, either enter a hexadecimal code or choose a colour from the colour picker.
  8. Click Save.
Alert
A category must contain at least one sub-category.

Reordering categories

  1. In the top right, under  Settings, click  Categories.
  2. Hold the  icon to drag and drop categories/sub-categories into new positions.
  3. Click Save.

Renaming categories

  1. In the top right, under  Settings, click  Categories.
  2. Click on the  icon. This will let you edit the name.
  3. Type in a new name.
  4. Click Save.

Deleting categories

  1. In the top right, under  Settings, click  Categories.
  2. Click on the  icon. You can only delete categories that don’t contain any posts.
  3. Click Save.
