Creating rooms/groups

Rooms/Groups represent the physical rooms you have in a nursery. Sessions are booked in rooms, and staff/child ratios are calculated on a room-by-room basis.
  1. In the top right click on  > System Settings.
  2. Click on Rooms/Groups on the left.
  3. Click the  icon in the top left to add a new room/group.
  4. Click on Upload Photo to select a photo for this room, if you desire.
  5. Give the room a Name and Description.
  6. Enter the lower and upper age ranges (in months) for children in this room in Age Group Lower and Age Group Upper.
  7. Enter the maximum number of children this room can hold in Capacity
  8. Choose a Colour for this room from the colour picker.
  9. Select which children and staff this room is assigned to by clicking on the Select Child and Select Staff fields.
  10. Ticking Used for children sessions ensures that this session is included in Occupancy, and in occupancy reports.
  11. Click Save.
To create rooms/groups for all nurseries, go to  > Global Settings, then continue from Step 2.
