On eypeople, you can keep track of how many holidays and sick days have been used by staff members, and how many remain. You’re able to customise holiday and sickness entitlement settings for all staff members in a nursery branch through HR Settings.
To find your Entitlement settings:
In the top right, click on > System Settings.
In the sidebar, click on HR.
Go to the Entitlement tab.
Click Save when you've made your changes.
To customise HR settings for all nurseries, go to > Global Settings, then continue from Step 2.
Entitlement Period
Entitlement year (start - end): Choose which months your entitlement year starts and ends. Holiday and sickness entitlement reset at the start of the entitlement year.
Holiday Entitlement
Holiday Days: The default number of holiday days each staff member receives.
Minimum length of service before increment starts (years): How long a staff member needs to have worked at your company before receiving increases in holiday entitlement.
Apply increase in: If your staff members receive increases in entitlement year-to-year, this menu lets you choose when these increases are applied: at the start of the following year, or the anniversary of the staff member’s start date.
Increase by (days): How many days holiday entitlement increases by, when it increases.
Frequency of increase (years): How often holiday entitlement increases, in years. For example, every 2 years.
Maximum length of service increment is applicable for (years): How long in years a staff member works for the company before they stop receiving increases in holiday entitlement for length of service.
Rounding: Choose how you’d like holiday entitlement to be rounded up.
Sickness Entitlement
Sick Days: The default number of sick days each staff member receives.
Frequency of sickness entitlement increase (years): How often sickness entitlement increases, in years. For example, every 2 years.
Sickness entitlement increase (days): How many days sickness entitlement increases by, whenever it increases.
Maximum length of service for which increase in sickness entitlement is applicable (years): How long in years a staff member works for the company before they stop receiving increases in sickness entitlement for length of service.
Training entitlement
Training entitlement (days): The default number of training days each staff member receives.
Other Settings
Break reduction (minutes): The default length of time subtracted for the staff member's break, in minutes.
Hide absence type on branch calendar (for staff): Check this if you want to hide absence details of other staff members in the staff login. Staff will be able to see other staff members’ absences on the branch calendar, but not the type or the reason for the absence.
Allow staff to manage own booking: Checking this will allow staff members to use their staff login to create, update, and delete any sessions and absences which are not confirmed.
Payroll Period
To find your Payroll settings:
In the top right, click on > System Settings.
In the sidebar, click on HR.
Go to the Payroll tab.
Click Save when you've made your changes.
Pay period: Choose how often you pay your employees, and on which day.
