On eyengage, you are able to create posts, polls, and events to share with members of the newsfeed. Posts can be used to update employees and parents about what’s going on at the nursery. Polls are designed to gather information and opinions. Events allow you to post information about upcoming activities, and receive direct responses from members about their attendance.
Creating a post
In the top right, click Create New > Post.
Beside Sharing To in the top left, choose who you want to share the post to between Nursery, Room, and Tags, then use the field below Sharing To to select which ones. Your options will be populated using data from eymanage.
Beside Audience in the top right, choose whether this post is for Parents, Employees, or All.
Type the content of the post into the What’s Happening? field. You can add web links by pasting the URL here. Use the icon to add emojis.
Under the Add Media field, click on the box to upload documents, pictures, or videos.
Under Select Category, sort this post into a category and sub-category.
Check the box next to Require Confirmation if you want readers to mark a post to confirm they’ve read it.
Check the box next to Disable Comments and Likes if you want to remove the option for readers to leave comments and likes on this post.
Click Publish.
Creating a poll
In the top right, click Create New > Poll.
Beside Sharing To in the top left, choose who you want to share the post to between Nursery, Room, and Tags, then use the field below Sharing To to select which ones. Your options will be populated using data from eymanage.
Beside Audience in the top right, choose whether this post is for Parents, Employees, or All.
Type the content of the post into the What’s Happening? field. You can add web links by pasting the URL here. Use the icon to add emojis.
Below, type in the options for the poll into the relevant fields. Click + Add option to add a new field.
Under the Add Media field, click on the box to upload documents, pictures, or videos.
Under Select Category, sort this post into a category and sub-category.
Check the box next to Allow to choose multiple options if you want readers to be able to select more than one option on the poll.
Check the box next to Disable Comments and Likes if you want to remove the option for readers to leave comments and likes on this post.
Click Publish.
Creating an event
In the top right, click Create New > Event.
Beside Audience in the top right, choose whether this post is for Parents, Employees, or All.
Beside Sharing To in the top left, choose who you want to share the post to between Nursery, Room, and Tags, then use the field below Sharing To to select which ones. Your options will be populated using data from employee and child profiles.
Under Select Category, sort this post into a category and sub-category.
Give the event a Name, Date, Start Time, and End Time. Fields marked with a * are mandatory.
Enter the location of the event into Location Address.
Type a description of the event into the What's Happening? section.
Below, you'll be able to edit your audience's responses to the event. For example, this could be a simple Yes or No as to whether they're coming. Click + Add option to add a new field or to remove a field. Your event post must contain at least one response option.
Under the Add Media field, click on the box to upload documents, pictures, or videos.
Use the RSVP Date field to add a deadline for when members can respond to the event. Once this date has passed, members can no longer select any of the options.
Check the box next to Disable Comments and Likes if you want to remove the option for readers to leave comments and likes on this post.
Click Publish.
Once members have responded to the event, you can see who has selected each response by clicking on the number next to each option.
