You can use trackers to get individual or group overviews of aspects of the system, such as framework progress, observations, and daily diaries.
Framework Trackers
Framework Trackers let you see the assessment levels of each child for a specific framework. What framework trackers are available depends on which frameworks you have enabled in settings.
To find the framework trackers on the practitioner app:
- Log in as a practitioner to see the list of children you have access to.
- Tapn the Framework Trackers icon at the top.
- Choose a framework tracker from the list.
At the top is a range of filters. Use them to customise how you want to view the tracker, then tap View to apply the changes.
Each tracker is presented slightly differently.
Most trackers take the form of a table with the children’s names on the leftmost column and descriptions of the framework’s areas, aspects, sub-aspects, and statements along the top. Usually, the cells for each child are coloured according to the colour of the latest assessment levels for this particular framework, giving you a sense of the child’s progress.
Some trackers may have an an additional summary table, which shows the number and percentage of children in each assessment level, for every range/aspect/area. Other trackers may not use colour-coded assessment levels, but other markers like numbers to indicate a child's progress.
Observation Tracker
The Observation Tracker primarily provides a record of what observations have been made.
To find the tracker on the practitioner app:
- Log in as a practitioner to see the list of children you have access to.
- Tap the Observation Tracker icon at the top.
The View by Children mode shows how many observations have been made per day for each child, along with a total for the month and the total to date. It also displays presences and absences that have been recorded in the daily diary.
The View by Staff mode shows how many observations have been made by each staff member per day, along with a total for the month and the total to date.
Daily Diaries Tracker
The Daily Diaries tracker gives a record on how many daily diaries have been created for each child in the past month. It can also indicate where a daily diary has marked a child as absent.
You can only view the daily diaries tracker on the web version:
- Click on Daily Diaries in the sidebar.
Each box in the table is coloured depending on the status of the daily diary. Empty, greyed out boxes denote weekends. Clicking on the + icon in an empty box will let you add a daily diary for that day and child.
