For funding to be allocated to children during scheduling, they need to be assigned terms. You can create and customise multiple term types for your setting, with different start/finish dates, funding rates, and holidays. Funding can only be applied within term dates.
Again, we’ll be looking at the essential settings only. More complex options can be explored once you’re more familiar with the system.
- In the top right, go to > System Settings.
- Click on Terms/Funding on the left.
- Click on the button in the top right to create a new term.
- Give the term a Name and Description.
- Choose what Year this term is for.
- Choose the Funding Eligible Date. This is the latest a child can have their birthday to still be eligible for this term/rate.
- Choose the Start and Finish Date for this term. These cannot overlap with dates for other terms you have created.
- Choose an option for Funding Entitlement for Partial Weeks:
- Full Week: If there is a partial week included in the term dates, funding entitlement will be the same as if it were a full week.
- Pro Rata: If there is a partial week included in the term dates, funding entitlement will be adjusted relative to the number of term days within that week.
- Enter the Start Dates and Finish Dates of all holidays that occur within the term period under Term Holidays. No funding applies during these dates.
- Choose the Colour for this term. Children on the Children page will be highlighted the colour of the term, and term holidays will appear as this colour in the calendar.
- Choose in which months this term runs in the Term Months field.
- Fill out the funding rates for your Local Authority.
- Click Save.
