Getting Started: Creating rooms/groups

Getting Started: Creating rooms/groups

Before you can start adding children and staff, you need to create the rooms that they’ll inhabit. Rooms/Groups represent the physical rooms you have in a nursery. eylog-only customers have slightly different and more limited options compared to other customers. Differences are noted where necessary.

On eymanage, staff/child ratios are calculated on a room-by-room basis.
  1. In the top right click on  > System Settings.
  2. Click on Rooms/Groups on the left.
  3. Click the  icon to add a new room/group.
  4. Give the room a Name and Description.
  5. Click on Upload Photo/Choose file to select a photo for this room, if you desire.
  6. Enter the lower and upper age ranges (in months) for children in this room in Age Group Lower and Age Group Upper.*
  7. Enter the maximum number of children this room can hold in Capacity.*
  8. Choose a Colour for this room from the colour picker.*
  9. Select which children and staff this room is assigned to by clicking on the Select Child and Select Staff fields.*
  10. Make sure Used for children sessions is ticked if you want this room to be selectable when booking sessions for children.*
  11. Click Save/Submit.
Repeat this for each room at your nursery. Once you’re done, you can begin adding children and staff.
