When you download something from our system, such as an eymemories book, you might receive it as a .zip file. A .zip file is simply an archival file format that allows files to be compressed so that they're smaller and easier to download. However, you won't be able to access the contents of a .zip file until it has been extracted. It's best to extract .zip files on a computer over a smartphone, since most computers should come with the capability to extract archived files built-in:
- Find the .zip file in your file explorer.
- Right click on the file to bring up a list of options.
- Click on Extract (it could also be Extract Here or Extract All).
- In the pop-up, choose the destination where you want the extracted files to be placed.
- Click Extract.
- Once the progress bar has filled up, you can access the decompressed file in the location you indicated in Step 4.
