Almas integration is available for free to customers using Almas’ Optima software who have eylog AND either eypeople or eymanage.
Choosing to integrate with Almas connects the Optima software with the employee register on eylog. When staff use the Optima biometrics readers to sign in or out, this automatically populates the employee register with details of the sign in/out times. This is a more rigorous identification system than using PIN numbers, so you can ensure employee comings and goings are more accurately recorded.
To integrate with Almas, please contact the Almas support team.
Integrating with Almas
- On the eymanage/eypeople system, click on
> System Settings. - Click on Integrations.
- Click on the Connect button.
- Enter the Token and Project Code provided by Almas.
- Click Save.
Setting up biometrics readers
Once you’ve integrated with Almas, the Integrations page will show you a list of all biometrics readers set up at your nursery. Use the Select Reader Type menu to choose how you want the staff register to respond to a biometrics reader being used: IN, OUT, or IN/OUT.
Readers marked IN will only update the employee register with IN times.
Readers marked OUT will only update the employee register with OUT times.
Readers marked IN/OUT can update the employee register with both IN and OUT times, depending on the staff member’s current status, which is reset at the beginning of each day.
If you sign in with an IN-only reader twice successively, without signing out in between, the register will automatically create an OUT time 1 minute before the new IN time.
Syncing Employees
In the top left of the Integrations page, you’ll see that you can switch tabs between Almas (which contains the biometrics setup) and Sync Employees - Badges.
The Sync Employees page displays a list of all users on the sysrem. Under the Badge Number column, next to a user’s name, is a field where you can search for the user on the Almas database. Select one from the list to connect them with their counterpart on eyworks. This ensures that when employees sign themselves in or out with the Optima software, the register updates the correct record.
