Managing documents and events on the eyemployee app

The Documents & Events section of the eyemployee app allows you to keep track of essential documents relevant to your role (e.g. your contract and CV) and maintain a record of past and upcoming events (e.g. a change in contract). 

Viewing your documents and events

  1. Go to the  Menu.
  2. Tap on  Documents & Events.
  3. Use the Documents and Events tabs to switch views.
  4. Tap on a document or event to see more details.

Adding and editing documents and events

If you are given the correct permissions by your manager, you may be allowed to add and/or edit documents and events. If you can't add or edit documents/events when you think you should, please consult your manager.

Even if you are given editing permission, please note that system-related documents and events, such as the Employee Profile Form document and Contracted Hours Change event, can only be edited by your manager.

Adding a document

  1. Tap on the  icon on the  Home screen and select  Add Document.
    1. Alternatively, you can tap the  icon on the Documents tab.
  2. Select a document type from the menu.
  3. Fill out the form that appears.
    Depending on how the document type is set up, the field names will differ. But it’s likely to follow the format of an Issued Date, Expiry Date, Description and Notes.
  4. To upload a document, tap on the  Attachments box. You have the option to take a photo or video directly using your phone's camera, or upload an existing file from your device.
  5. Click Save to add the document.

Editing a document

  1. Go to the  Menu.
  2. Tap on  Documents & Events.
  3. On the Documents list, tap on a document to see more details.
  4. Tap on the  icon to edit it.
  5. Make your changes, then tap Update.

Adding an event

  1. Tap on the  icon on the  Home screen and select  Add Event.
    1. Alternatively, you can tap the  icon on the Events tab.
  2. Select an event type from the menu.
  3. Fill out the form that appears. Depending on how the event type is set up, the field names will differ. But it’s likely to follow the format of Start Date, Due Date, Description and Notes.
  4. If you want to upload a file, tap on the  Attachments box. You have the option to take a photo or video directly using your phone's camera, or upload an existing file from your device.
  5. Click Save to add the event.

  2. Tap on  Documents & Events.
  3. Tap on the Events tab.
  4. Tap on an event to see more details.
  5. Tap on the  icon to edit it.
  6. Make your changes, then tap Update.
