Managing training entitlement

Training entitlement works slightly differently from holiday or sickness entitlement. To begin with, training is not considered an absence; it is booked within session scheduling. Remaining training entitlement also isn’t recorded on the Contract/Entitlement page, but in Qualifications/Trainings.

The number of training days can be set up in entitlement settings. 

Scheduling training
  1. Go to the  Staff page.
  2. Click on the name of the staff member to be taken to their profile.
  3. Click on the Staff Scheduling tab on the left. 
  4. Click on a time under one of the columns to book a session for that day. 
  5. Fill out the information for the training session in the pop-up window.
  6. Under Activity, select Training (paid).
  7. Upon selecting this, two fields will appear at the bottom: Used Training Entitlement and Balance Training Entitlement. This displays the total used and remaining entitlement before the current training is booked.
  8. Click Save.
Viewing training entitlement
  1. Go to the  Staff page.
  2. Click on the name of the staff member to be taken to their profile.
  3. Click on Qualifications/Trainings in the sidebar.
  4. Click on the Training Entitlement tab at the top to bring up this staff member’s remaining training entitlement.
  5. Click on the  icon next to a year to view booked training sessions for that year.
Overriding training entitlement
  1. Go to the  Staff page.
  2. Click on the name of the staff member to be taken to their profile.
  3. Click on Qualifications/Trainings in the sidebar.
  4. Click on the Training Entitlement tab at the top to bring up this staff member’s remaining training entitlement.
  5. Click on the  icon next to a year to override training entitlement for that year. 
  6. In the pop-up window, type in the new Training Entitlement in hours.
  7. Click Override Entitlement.
