Messaging candidates

Messaging candidates

Emailing a candidate

Once a candidate profile is created on your recruitment pipeline, you're given the ability to email them through the email address they applied with. You can either type out the message manually, or use an email template, which is a way of sending pre-set communications to candidates while maintaining personalisation. Click here to learn more about email templates.
  1. In eyrecruit, go to the Pipeline or the Candidates tab and click on the candidate.

  2. In the candidate profile, click on the icon in the top right.

  3. Select an email template from the drop-down menu, or type a new email in the text box.

  4. Click Send.

Tracking messages with candidates

When messages are send to and from candidates through eyrecruit, a record of them is kept on the candidates' profiles and the Communication screen. The candidate profile only lists messages with that candidate, while the Communication screen displays all messages across eyrecruit.

Tracking messages through the candidate profile

  1. In eyrecruit, click on the Pipeline tab.
  2. Click on the candidate to bring up their profile.
  3. Click on the Messages tab to see all email communications between the candidate and the hiring team.
  4. You can see when an email was delivered, sent, and opened by a candidate by clicking on the  icon next to each message.
  5. Click on  next to a message to expand and view the whole email.
  6. In the expanded email, you can click Reply on the right, which will bring up a pop-up that lets you select/write an email to send out as a reply from the system.

Tracking messages through the Communication screen

To go to the Communication screen:
  1. In the sidebar, click on eyrecruit > Pipeline.
  2. Click on the Communication tab along the top of the screen.
The number displayed in a red circle above the Communication tab indicates the number of unread messages from candidates. In the top-left, you can switch between viewing All and Unread messages, to make it easier to find the messages you need to respond to.

The list of candidates is displayed in the column along the left. Type in the candidate's name or email into the search bar just above to find them more quickly. Or use the  icon to filter the candidates by NurseryTagsStagesCategoriesTitles, and Status.

Clicking on a candidate will display their entire message history. You can message a candidate from this screen by clicking on a candidate, then clicking on Compose in the top right. To mark a message from a candidate as Unread, click on the three dots  next to a message, then click Unread.
