Ordering eymemories as a parent
eymemories is a digital or physical book which compiles a child's learning journey in an appealing, easy-to-read way, complete with photos and observations, so you can have a keepsake of your child's time at the nursery. Alongside the eymemories book, parents can also order greeting cards and mugs using the images uploaded to the child's learning journey.
As a parent, you can order eyememories through the eyparent app on your phone, or other mobile device.
Ordering a digital download
- On the eyparent app, tap the icon in the top right.
- In the menu that appears, tap Memories.
- Tap on the square called Download Link.
- You'll be brought to a page containing details about the file format, and FAQs about the product. Make sure you read these carefully before you order,
- At the bottom of the page, tap Add to Cart.
- You'll be brought to a payment summary.
- Tap the icon in the top right to remove the product from the cart.
- If you have a promotional code, type it into the Promo Code field and tap Apply.
- Tap Edit in the Deliver To section to change which email address will receive the eymemories download link.
- Read the information under Disclaimer, then check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Tap Proceed to Payment.
- Enter your payment details on the next page.
- Tap Pay.
- When the eymemories order is ready, you will receive a download link to the digital book through the email you provided.
- Extract the .zip file to view the book.
How to extract a .zip file
When you download a digital eymemories book, you'll receive it as a .zip file. A .zip file is simply an archival file format allows files to be compressed so that they're smaller and easier to download. However, you won't be able to access the contents of a .zip file until it has been extracted. Most computers should come with the capability to extract archived files built-in:
- Find the .zip file in your file explorer.
- Right click on the file to bring up a list of options.
- Click on Extract (it could also be Extract Here or Extract All).
- In the pop-up, choose the destination where you want the extracted files to be placed.
- Click Extract.
- Once the progress bar has filled up, you can access the decompressed file in the location you indicated in Step 4.
Ordering a greeting card
- On the eyparent app, tap the icon in the top right.
- In the menu that appears, tap Memories.
- Tap on the square called Greeting Card.
- Select the size of the greeting card from the options presented.
- Tap Continue.
- You'll see a gallery of all the images uploaded to your child's learning journey. Tap on an image to use it on the greeting card.
- Alternatively, if you can't find the image you want on the gallery, you can upload an image from your device:
- Tap the Upload tab in the top right.
- Tap on the box labelled 'Drop files here or click to upload.'
- Select which app you want to upload your photo from.
- Tap on the circle in the top right of an image to select it. You may select more than one.
- Tap Select.
- Once your image is uploaded, tap on it again to use it on the greeting card.
- On the next screen, you'll be able to make changes to how the image will look on the greeting card. The box in the centre represents the space on the card. Dragging the image around will let you change how the image is framed. Drag your finger along the dial at the bottom to change the image's rotation. The and icons at the top let you rotate the image by 90 degrees, flip the image horizontally, and flip the image vertically, respectively.
- Tap Confirm when you're happy with how it looks.
- Tap Next.
- On the next page, you'll be given the opportunity to review the image you selected.
- Tap Proceed to Cart.
- You'll be brought to a payment summary.
- Tap the icon in the top right to remove the product from the cart.
- If you have a promotional code, type it into the Promo Code field and tap Apply.
- Tap Edit in the Deliver To section to edit your delivery address.
- Read the information under Disclaimer, then check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Tap Proceed to Payment.
- Enter your payment details on the next page.
- Tap Pay.
Ordering a mug
- On the eyparent app, tap the icon in the top right.
- In the menu that appears, tap Memories.
- Tap on the square called Mug.
- Tap Continue.
- You'll see a gallery of all the images uploaded to your child's learning journey. Tap on an image to use it on the mug.
- Alternatively, if you can't find the image you want on the gallery, you can upload an image from your device:
- Tap the Upload tab in the top right.
- Tap on the box labelled 'Drop files here or click to upload.'
- Select which app you want to upload your photo from.
- Tap on the circle in the top right of an image to select it. You may select more than one.
- Tap Select.
- Once your image is uploaded, tap on it again to use it on the mug.
- On the next screen, you can alter how the image will appear on the mug. The box in the centre represents the space your picture will occupy. It's designed to wrap around the curved sides of the mug, so keep this in mind when uploading and editing your picture. Dragging the image around will let you change how it is framed.
