Ordering eymemories on the eyparent app
The eymemories section of the eyparent app is the place where you can order mementoes of your child's time at the nursery. These mementoes come in different forms, from a digital record of your child's timeline, to a physical book of your child's learning journey, to greeting cards and mugs.
There is also a digital download, which provides a record of information on the system. My Early Years Story, creates a snapshot of your child's entire timeline and profile in the form of an offline parent portal, allowing you to access your child's observations, reports, daily diaries, medicine forms, and accident sheets even after they have left the nursery.
Ordering a parent portal download
- Go to
>
eymemories. - Tap on the square called My Early Years Story.
- You'll be brought to a page containing details about the file format, and FAQs about the product. Make sure you read these carefully before you order.
- At the bottom of the page, tap Add to Cart.
- You'll be brought to a payment summary.
- Tap the
icon in the top right to remove the product from the cart.
- If you have a promotional code, type it into the Promo Code field and tap Apply.
- Read the information under Disclaimer, then check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Tap Proceed to Payment.
- Enter your payment details on the next page.
- Tap Pay.
- When the eymemories order is ready, you will receive a download link through the email you provided. This is available for 90 days from the date of your order.
- Click Access Your Order and enter your Email and your Child's Date of Birth to proceed.
- Download the file from the link provided (we recommend you do this from a computer).
- Extract the .zip file to view all the media in this version of your child's profile and timeline.
- Within the extracted folder, there will be a .html file called MyEarlyYearsStory. Open this to view a snapshot of your child's profile and timeline in your browser.
How to extract a .zip file
When you download a digital eymemories book, you'll receive it as a .zip file. A .zip file is simply an archival file format that allows files to be compressed so that they're smaller and easier to download. However, you won't be able to access the contents of a .zip file until it has been extracted. It's best to extract .zip files on a computer over a smartphone, since most computers should come with the capability to extract archived files built-in:
- Find the .zip file in your file explorer.
- Right click on the file to bring up a list of options.
- Click on Extract (it could also be Extract Here or Extract All).
- In the pop-up, choose the destination where you want the extracted files to be placed.
- Click Extract.
- Once the progress bar has filled up, you can access the decompressed file in the location you indicated in Step 4.
Ordering a physical book
- Go to
>
eymemories. - Tap on the square called My Adventure Book.
- You'll be brought to a page containing further details, and FAQs about the product. Make sure you read these carefully before you order.
- Select between Hardcover and Softcover. The price points will be adjusted accordingly.
- At the bottom of the page, tap Continue.
- On the next page, tap the
icon under individual observations to include them in the book, or tap the
icon next to Select all to include all this child's observations. You need a minimum of 18 observations to make up the book.
- Tap Proceed to Cart at the bottom of the page to continue.
- Tap the
icon in the top right to remove a product from the cart. - If you have a promotional code, type it into the Promo Code field and tap Apply.
- Tap Add in the Delivery Address section to indicate where you'd like the book delivered.
- Read the information under Disclaimer, then check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Tap Proceed to Payment.
- Enter your payment details on the next page.
- Tap Pay.
Ordering a greeting card
- Go to
>
eymemories. - Tap on the square called My Little Greeting.
- Select the size of the greeting card from the options presented.
- Tap Continue.
- You'll see a gallery of all the images uploaded to your child's learning journey. Tap on an image to see a preview.
- Alternatively, if you can't find the image you want on the gallery, you can upload an image from your device:
- Tap the Upload tab in the top right.
- Tap on the box labelled 'Drop files here or click to upload.'
- Select which app you want to upload your photo from.
- Select and upload an image.
- Once the image is uploaded, tap on it to see a preview.
- On the preview screen, you'll be able to make changes to how the image will look on the greeting card. The box in the centre represents the space on the card. Dragging the image around will let you change how the image is framed. Drag your finger along the dial at the bottom to alter the image's rotation. The
and
icons at the top let you rotate the image by 90 degrees, flip the image horizontally, and flip the image vertically, respectively.
- Tap Confirm when you're happy with how it looks.
- Tap Next.
- On the next page, you'll be given the opportunity to review the image you selected.
- Tap Proceed to Cart.
- You'll be brought to a payment summary.
- Tap the
icon in the top right to remove the product from the cart.
- If you have a promotional code, type it into the Promo Code field and tap Apply.
- Tap Add in the Delivery Address section to indicate where you'd like the card delivered.
- Read the information under Disclaimer, then check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Tap Proceed to Payment.
- Enter your payment details on the next page.
- Tap Pay.
Ordering a mug
- Go to
>
eymemories. - Tap on the square called My Memory Mug.
- Tap Continue.
- You'll see a gallery of all the images uploaded to your child's learning journey. Tap on an image to see a preview.
- Alternatively, if you can't find the image you want on the gallery, you can upload an image from your device:
- Tap the Upload tab in the top right.
- Tap on the box labelled 'Drop files here or click to upload.'
- Select which app you want to upload your photo from.
- Select and upload an image.
- Once your image is uploaded, tap on it again to see a preview.
- On the preview screen, you can alter how the image will appear on the mug. The box in the centre represents the space your picture will occupy.
