Understanding the daily diaries tracker

Understanding the daily diaries tracker

On the web version of eylog, the Daily Diaries Tracker lets you see the status of daily diaries entries for all the children in your nursery, and even lets you add new entries from this page. You can get to the tracker by clicking on  Daily Diaries in the sidebar.

Use the filters at the top to change the Group/Room you're viewing, which Date you want to view, and how many records are displayed per page. Click View to apply the filters to the tracker.

The tracker itself is presented as a table with the names of your children in the leftmost column, and the days of the month on the right. Cells are marked with different icons depending on the status of the daily diary for that day (for example, draft, published, child absent). You can see what each of these icons mean using the Legend at the bottom.

Days without daily diary entries can have them added from this page:
  1. Click the + icon for a date and child to create a daily diary.
  2. Fill out the diary.
  3. Upload media to the diary by clicking Upload in the top left.
  4. Click Share with parents if you want the child’s parent to be able to see the diary, or click Save as Draft to share later.
  5. Click Publish when the daily diary is complete for the day.
