Using conversations on the eyparent app

Conversations are direct messages between users on the system. They can be formed between individual users, or with multiple users in a group conversation. 

While any nursery employee will be able to contact you with conversations, parents are only able to initiate conversations with employees who are in the Management Team set up by the nursery (these don't necessarily have to be the nursery managers)This is to ensure that you are only in contact with employees who are able to respond to your messages. 

Depending on your nursery's settings, you may either a) be allowed to start individual and group conversations with any members of the management team, or b) only be allowed to start group conversations with the whole management team.
  1. Tap on the  icon.
  2. You'll be taken to the Conversations screen by default. Tap  to create a new conversation.
  3. Tap  next to Management Team to see a list of users in the team.
  4. For some nurseries, you may only be allowed to select the whole management team. If given the option, you can check the box next to a user to select them individually. You may select more than one.
  5. Tap on the  button to start the conversation.
  6. Type your message into the bar at the bottom.
  7. Tap on the  icon to attach a file.
  8. Tap  to send the message.
