Using food menus in daily diaries

Using food menus in daily diaries

Within the daily diary for each child, you're able to record what the child has eaten for each meal/snack throughout the day. These can be filled in manually by a practitioner, or they can  automatically draw information from food menus that you have set up.

Editing a child's menu on the practitioner app
  1. Log in as a practitioner to see the list of children you have access to.
  2. Tap a child’s picture to select them.
  3. Tap the  Daily Diary icon at the top.
  4. You will automatically be taken to the current day’s diary. You can change the date by tapping the arrows at the top.
  5. Go to the What I ate today section.
  6. If a food menu has been set up, the child's snacks and meals will be filled in automatically. Alternatively, you can type in the meals yourself by tapping the  icon.
  7. If the child has brought in their own meal from home, tap Own Meal to make a record of it. Doing this will fill in all meals as 'Own Meal', although you have the freedom to edit these if you'd like to be more specific.
  8. Use the options next to each meal or snack to indicate how much the child has eaten of each.
  9. Tap Save as Draft to save your progress, Share with parents to let parents see the daily diary, or Publish if the whole daily diary is complete for the day.
