  1. Child Absence notification option has been added within Global Settings > Other Settings > Notifications, allowing web users with the right access to select which roles receive email alerts when a parent reports an absence. By default, notifications are enabled for Company Admins, but this can be modified. Additional roles can be selected to receive absence notifications. Additionally, Child Absence tab has also been added to the notifications list, when viewing all notifications for quick access to all reported absences.

  1. Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) feature will help manage and streamline the way overtime is tracked, approved and used across your nurseries. This feature allows managers and admins to manage employees' TOIL hours with full flexibility and transparency. TOIL is turned off by default and can be enabled within Global/System Settings > HR > Entitlement by admins, with the flexibility to enforce it across all branches or specific branches only. Enabling this feature will also allow you decide expiry policy for the approved overtime hours, this expiry is based on the overtime worked date (not submission or approval date).
    1. Once TOIL is enabled, employees can submit overtime requests via their staff profile and/or eyemployee app while managers are also able to submit overtime hours for employees from the staff profile or within eypeople.
    2. From the staff profile within Contract & Entitlements > Overtime Hours (TOIL), you can manage overtime requests per employee - approve, decline, or update submitted overtime requests including adjusting overtime date, hours or expiry dates. Any approved hours will be added to the employee's TOIL entitlement balance, which can be used to request TOIL absences directly from the entitlement balance (separate from holiday or sickness entitlements).
    3. Additionally within Contract & Entitlements > Overtime Hours (TOIL), you can add new overtime hours for the selected employee with the submitted hour(s) instantly marked as approved and added to the employee's TOIL entitlement.
    4. Within Contract/Entitlements tab on the staff profile, TOIL Entitlement shows accrued, used and balance hours. Expired hours where applicable are automatically removed from the entitlement, with TOIL entitlement managed independently from Holiday or Sickness entitlements.
    5. TOIL as an absence type can be found within Global Settings > HR > Absence, this is system default absence type where changes are limited to Linked Absence Reason and Colour. The approval for TOIL absence works like any other absence request, and is integrated in both the web and employee app.
    6. TOIL absences can be booked using valid entitlement based on expiry dates, and this is tracked when booking the absence by ensuring TOIL entitlement has not expired by the absence end date.
    7. Admins can configure roles that receive notifications for overtime hours requests within Global Settings > Other Settings > Notifications > Overtime Hours (TOIL).
28th  April 2025
  1. Read-Only Access option for Conversations is now available within System Settings > Parents > Management Team. Company Admins can now assign specific users or roles the ability to view Conversations without the ability to reply or send new messages—unless they are participants in the conversation. User selection follows the same style as assigning roles in the management team, allowing employee names to be expanded under each role to assign the permission.
  2. For users managing multiple nurseries, Conversations now include nursery name labels and a nursery filter option. Users can filter conversations by one or multiple nurseries for a smoother experience.
  3. To make conversations easier to manage, associated child's name is now displayed both in the conversation title and within the participant listIf multiple children are involved, all relevant names will be shown. Clicking a child’s label opens their profile in a new tab, making it easier to access related information quickly.
  4. Enquiry Source field ("Where did you hear about us?") has been added directly to the Public Enquiry Form. Previously, this information was manually added after receiving an enquiry but now this can be filled when submitting an online enquiry form, saving time and improving data accuracy. You can manage and configure the Enquiry Source field within Global and System Settings > eyenquiries > enquiry form setup, this ensures all new enquiries are captured more accurately from the beginning.

  1. With TOIL enabled for the system, Overtime Hours (TOIL) feature will allow managers with the right permissions (same as absence permissions except where specified) manage all overtime requests for employees as well as add new overtime hours for employee(s). Managers can approve, decline, or update submitted overtime requests—including adjusting overtime date, hours or expiry dates. Any approved hours will be added to the employee's TOIL entitlement balance, which can be used to request/book TOIL absences directly from the entitlement balance (separate from holiday or sickness entitlements).
    1. Overtime requests follow the same permission roles as absences.
    2. Approve, Decline, Update, or Delete overtime requests.
    3. Apply filter by employee, date range, or request status.
    4. Overtime requests submitted/added for employee(s) are instantly set to Approved.

  1. Where TOIL is enabled for any branch or organisation, a new Add Overtime for TOIL button is visible in the Home or Entitlements > Overtime + icon for employees to submit overtime worked (date, start and end time, total hours) for manager approval. Approved overtime hours will be added to the employee's TOIL entitlement, with the TOIL entitlement balance visible within Entitlements > Absences tab.
    1. New Overtime tab within Entitlements for submitting or tracking TOIL requests and status. You can update/cancel overtime request only when it is pending approval.
    2. Overlapping overtime hours requests for the same date/time are not allowed.
    3. Overtime hours will respect expiry policy as set by your organisation and this is auto-calculated based on the organisation settings, or as applied by manager per request. Where expiry dates are applied or overruled, then expired hours where applicable are automatically removed from the TOIL entitlement balance.
    4. Managers can approve, decline, or update submitted requests—including adjusting hours or expiry dates with notifications sent for every status change or updates.
    5. Approved overtime hours as TOIL entitlements can be used to request TOIL absences directly from the entitlement balance (separate from holiday or sickness entitlements).
    6. Employees can then select TOIL as an absence type (if their balance > 0) when requesting absence. TOIL absence works like any other absence requests and hours are deducted from TOIL entitlement once approved.
