Activating/deactivating a child profile
When a child has left the nursery, you can indicate this on the system by making their profile inactive. This will move their profile to an inactive list, and lock it so you're unable to update information, schedule sessions, create terms, or use any other features of the system with them. To restore system functionality to this profile, you must make the child active again.
Making a child inactive
- Click on
Children in the sidebar. - Click on the name of the child to be taken to their profile.
- On the Profile tab, uncheck the box next to Active.
- Choose a Leave Date and Leave Reason in the pop-up window.
- Click Save.
Customising leave reasons for children
When you make a child inactive, you'll be prompted to pick a reason why the child has left the nursery from the drop-down menu. The options presented in this menu can be customised in settings.
- In the top right, click on
> Global Settings. - Click on eyenquiries in the sidebar.
- Go to Child Profiles > Leave Reasons.
- Click the
icon in the top right to create a new leave reason. - Type the new reason into the Name field.
- Click Save.
- Click the
icon next to a reason to edit it, and the
icon to delete it.
Viewing inactive children
Even when a child is inactive, the system keeps a record of their profile for you to refer back to. However, please note that 60 days after a child's profile has been made inactive, all media associated with this child on eylog and eymanage (e.g. photos, audio files, videos, attachments) will be deleted. Making a child active again will cancel the media deletion.
- Click on
Children in the sidebar. - Click on Filters in the top left.
- Check the box next to Show Inactive Only.
- Click Apply.
Reactivating a child profile
If you want to be able to restore system functionality to a child on the system, you will need to reactivate them.
- Go to the inactive child's profile.
- Check the box next to Active.
- In the pop-up window, click OK.
