You can use planning sheets to keep track of the next step in each child’s development. These sheets can be linked to documents and resources that can help the child progress towards their learning goals.
Filling out the planning sheet
Filling out the planning sheet on the practitioner app
Log in as a practitioner to see the list of children you have access to.
Tap the Planning Sheet icon at the top.
Change which group you want to see using the drop-down menu in the top left.
Tap the date beside Week Beginning to change which week this planning sheet is for, then click View.
Tap Edit under Common Learning Intentions/Activities to enter the shared learning goals for all children on the sheet. Tap Save when you’re done.
Tap Edit under Planned Area and Activity to enter the next steps of one child’s development. This field will be automatically populated with the Next Steps from the child’s observations from the previous week. Tap Save when you’re done.
Tap Observe Activity to create an observation using details from the Planned Area and Activity box. The tag for this observation is automatically set to Planned Activity.
Tap Edit under Notes/Evaluation to enter additional notes about a child's planning. Click Save when you’re done.

In the sidebar, click on Planning > Planning Sheet.
Use the filters along the top to change which children’s planning sheets you want to see, and for which week, then click View.

Click Edit under Linked Resource(s) to bring up a drop-down menu. Select which documents/resources you’d like to attach to this child’s planning sheet from the Resources/Documents screen, then click Save.
Fields with can be expanded by dragging them.
Copying planning to other children
If more than one child has the same learning goals, you can fill in just one child’s planning details and copy them over to the other children on the planning sheet. This is only possible on the web version of eylog.
Check the box next to a child’s name to select them. You can only select one child for this.
In the Bulk Actions drop-down menu that appears, select Copy Planning to Other Children.
Click on the Select Children field to select which children you want to copy the planning to.
Click Copy.
Moving/copying planning to another week
You can have completed planning sheets moved or copied to different weeks. Moving a sheet will move all the information from a planning sheet to another week while erasing the information in the current planning sheet. Copying a sheet will copy all the information over to another week while preserving the information in the current planning sheet.

Tap Move or Copy.

Check the box next to a child’s name to select them. Do this for as many children as you need.
In the Bulk Actions drop-down menu that appears, select Copy/Move Planning to Another Week.
Click the Select Week field to choose which week you want to copy/move the planning sheet to.
Click Copy or Move.
Sharing the planning sheet with parents
Planning sheets can only be shared with parents through the web version of eylog, after which they can view the sheet through the parent portal or parent app. Parents will only be able to see the Planned Area and Activity and Linked Resource(s) sections, which they can use to inform what the child should be working on at home.

Tap Share For Selected Children.
Removing the planning sheet for parents
In the sidebar, click on Planning > Planning Sheet.
Use the filters along the top to change which children’s planning sheets you want to see, and for which week, then click View.
Check the box next to a child’s name to select them. Do this for as many children as you need.
In the Bulk Actions drop-down menu that appears, select Remove from Parent(s).
