How do I keep my apps up-to-date?
Whether you're using the practitioner app, employee app, or parent app, it's important that you keep your apps updated. This is the best way to ensure you get the newest features, bug fixes, and essential security updates that protect your data. You can either update your apps manually, or set up automatic updates.
How do I update my app on iOS?
- Go to the App Store.
- Tap on your profile picture in the top right.
- Scroll down until you see a list of apps.
- Any apps with new releases will have an Update button next to their name.
- Either tap Update next to a single app, or tap Update All to update all the apps on your device.
How do I update my app on Android?
- Go to the Play Store.
- Tap on your profile picture in the top right.
- In the pop-up, tap Manage apps and device.
- You'll see if there are updates available next to the
icon. If there are none, it will read All apps up to date.
- If there are updates, tap See details to bring up a list of all apps requiring updates.
- Either tap Update next to a single app, or tap Update All to update all the apps on your device.
How do I turn on automatic updates on iOS?
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on Apps > App Store.
- Tap on the icon next to App Updates to turn it on and off. If the toggle is green, you know it's been enabled.
How do I turn on automatic updates on Android?
- Go to the Play Store.
- Tap on your profile picture in the top right.
- In the pop-up, tap Settings at the bottom.
- Tap on Network preferences.
- Tap Auto-update apps.
- Select one of the following options:
- Update all apps over Wi-Fi or mobile data: Your apps will be updated as soon as updates are released, whether you are currently on Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Update with a limited amount of mobile data: When you're not on Wi-Fi, only what Google deems the most important apps are updated using a limited amount of mobile data. Which apps are updated and how much data is used is based on your usage trends.
- Update over Wi-Fi only: Your apps will only be updated when you are on Wi-Fi.
