eylog is our child development software, designed specifically for early years educators. By accessing eylog through the web or a tablet device, it's quick and easy to record observations, fill out daily diaries, write reports, create accident sheets and medicine forms, and share data with parents.
What features do I get with eylog?
Store essential child data in the child profile, including their basic details, parental details, and medical information. Fill out the My World section to keep track of the child's schedule, likes, dislikes, habits, and other unique qualities. If parents have access to the eyparent app, they're able to add their own insights to the My World section.
Use the eylog practitioner app to allow staff to sign themselves in and out of the nursery. The times that staff come and go are recorded automatically, and can be viewed on the staff register.
Record the times that children enter and leave the nursery each day through the eylog practitioner app and view a record of their attendance on the child register. Parents with access to the eyparent app will also be able to sign their own child(ren) in/out using their phone.
Create observations of children using text, photos, videos, and audio. Assess their development against your chosen frameworks and share their learning with parents.
Select from a list of development frameworks that can be included in observations, or create custom frameworks to suit your needs using one of five different framework templates. Customise framework assessment levels to align with your progress recording.
Create weekly menus that are automatically applied to daily diaries, so you can keep track of what children have eaten each day. Use menu sequences to set up a rotation of different menus over a range of dates.
Use the daily diary to record a child's daily actions, including their attendance, meals, sleep times, bottles, nappies, toilet training, and sun cream. Keep parents up-to-date on how their child is doing throughout the day.
Report on a child's continual development at the nursery using one of our standard report templates, or by creating your own custom template. Share the report with parents for them to review.
Create learning plans to detail a child's next steps. Use the planning sheet to devise activities and learning intentions for each week, and upload documents and resources that parents can access to aid their child's home learning.
Keep parents informed about any accident or incidents that have occurred at the nursery.
Use the medicine form to keep track of children's illnesses and medications. Share the form with parents so they can see when doses are administered to their child.
