Requesting absences as a member of staff
If you have a staff login, you're able to request your own absences through the staff portal.
- Login to your staff portal.
- You'll be taken to your own profile by default. Click on the Staff Scheduling tab.
- Click on one of the days in the all-day row to request an absence.
- Select the Type of Absence.
- Edit the Start and Finish Dates of the absence by clicking on the associated fields and selecting from the calendar.
- Select a Reason for the absence (the options are tied to the type of absence you chose). If you choose Other, you can enter the reason into the Notes/Description field.
- Enter how many hours you're taking off in the Hours used in current absence field.
- Click Save.
This is only a request for absence, you will receive an email to inform you when your manager accepts or rejects the request.
