Using filters on the timeline
Your timeline displays all the updates about your child while they're at the nursery, collating your child's observations, daily diaries, accident/incident sheets, medicine forms, and reports in one place. To make it easier to sort between all these different updates, you can use the timeline filters.
Filtering by update type
While using the eyparent timeline, you may decide you'd like to see all your child's observations. To avoid having to scroll through all the updates on your timeline to find just them, you can filter the timeline so it shows only the observations.
The easiest way to do this is to use the quick filters at the top of the timeline, displayed in this order:
Observations,
Daily Diaries,
Accident/incident Sheets,
Medicine Forms,
Reports. You will need to scroll to see all the buttons. Tap on one of them to filter the timeline so it displays just that update type. Tap on more than one to display all those update types. Tapping on a button for a second time will cancel the filter.
You can accomplish the same thing by tapping on
icon on the timeline screen, next to your child's name. Under Type, tap on one or more update types to select them. When you tap Apply Filters, the timeline will display only the selected update types.
Filtering by date
On the timeline, you might want to see only the updates that have been posted within a certain date range.
- Tap on the
icon on the timeline screen.
- Under Date tap on the two boxes to select the start and end dates for the updates you'd like to view.
- Tap Apply Filters.
Show future events
You timeline displays events from newest-oldest. However, by default, future events (such as upcoming absences) are hidden to prevent them from cluttering up your display. If you want to see these events, you can turn them on in your timeline filters.
- Tap on the
icon on the timeline screen.
- Check Show Future Events on Timeline.
- Tap Apply Filters.
