eyparent is our dedicated parent app, designed to make it quick and simple for parents to access updates about their children, and communicate with nursery employees. eyparent is available for free alongside any of our other child products, and can be accessed either through a mobile app, or a web portal. Note that some of the features below are only available alongside certain other eyworks products.
What features can parents access?
Update information about children through the parent app. While general details and parental details can only be filled out on the nursery system, parents are able to edit the My World section, which details a child's likes, dislikes, habits, and other personal qualities.
Parents can sign their own children in and out by scanning a QR code through the eyparent app whenever they arrive for pick-up or drop-off.
Report child absences through the eyparent app and have the record be automatically added to the timeline.
Use the timeline to keep track of a child's daily activities at the nursery. This is also where parents can view and sign off on their child's observations, reports, accident sheets and medicine forms.
Parents receive notifications whenever there is an update about their child or a form they need to sign. Parents can customise their settings to control what updates they would like to be notified about.
Parents can add their own observations about their children, so there is a record of how the children are developing from home. Parent observations are limited only to uploading photos/videos and writing a a description.
If the nursery has eyengage, parents can makes posts and polls that parents can view, comment, and like through the eyparent Newsfeed.
View a child's learning intentions and planned activities through eyparent, whenever a planning sheet is shared. Parents can access home learning resources, like webpages and documents, from their phones.
Access the session booking screen, which, depending on the nursery's preferences, allows parents to either request or book sessions for their children directly from eyparent.
Parents have two ways to keep in contact with nursery employees. Conversations let them directly message employees who have been assigned to the Management Team, while Communications allow them to view and respond to nursery emails.
View current account balance, invoices, and payments through the eyparent app. If the nursery has set up the capability, parents can even pay their invoices through the app using Stripe, Opayo, WorldPay, or Tax-Free Childcare.
Access the eymemories screen, which allows parents to order physical products based on the learning journey, so they can have a memento of their child's time at the nursery.
Why are some of these features not available?
The features parents can access through eyworks depends on what products the nursery has. For example, eymanage is our nursery management software, which allows nurseries to send and keep track of invoices. Unless they are subscribed to eymanage and have access to these features, the same features won't be available on eyparent.
